Spirituality
At Lutterworth College, spirituality is the ongoing journey of discovering who we are, understanding our place in the world, and recognising our value and purpose within God's creation. Put simply, becoming the people we are called to be.
Rooted in our Christian vision to enable every young person to learn, flourish and succeed, spirituality encourages us to reflect on life's deeper questions, appreciate what is good, true and beautiful, and develop meaningful relationships with others, ourselves and God.
Through our BE CHRIST values of being Courageous, Hard-working, Reflective, Inspiring, Supportive and Tenacious, we nurture young people to grow in wisdom, hope and character, serving others with compassion and contributing positively to the world around them.
Spirituality at Lutterworth College is not confined to faith alone. It is found in moments of reflection, wonder, creativity, service, belonging and personal growth, helping every member of our community become the person they are called to be.
Spiritual development is woven throughout the curriculum and wider life of the College through four key areas: Self, Others, World and God/Transcendence. Students are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their values and purpose (Self); to show empathy, compassion and respect for others (Others); to explore their responsibility towards society and the wider world (World); and to reflect on life's big questions, including faith, meaning, wonder and what may lie beyond our everyday experience (God/Transcendence). Through these opportunities, students are encouraged to reflect, grow and flourish, guided by our Christian vision and Be CHRIST values.
