- Research a musician or band from the 1970s and answer the following questions:
- What genre/style is the music?
- Who are the band? (where are they from, how did they get together?)
- Who are the members of the band?
- Who writes the songs?
- Who plays what instruments?
- What was it that made them famous?
- Same as above, however, look at a musician or band from the 80s and it has to be in a different style/genre.
- Same as above, however, look at a musician or band from the 90s and it has to be in a different style/genre.
- Same as above, however, look at a musician or band from the 2000s and it has to be in a different style/genre.
- Create a mindmap of all the common instruments in a band with some key information on each instrument. You may want to draw the band set up and annotate around the edge.

Drama
Year 7/8
- Choose a well known character from a film or theatre production. Write a monologue (a speech performed by one person) as if you were that character expressing how they feel at a particular moment in the film/production. Your monologue should be at least half a side of A4.
- Write a script (at least one A4 page) that is based on an event you have experienced recently. This could involve a number of characters, it could be comedic or more serious. You should consider stage direction too, in brackets write down the directions to show where the characters are moving and what they are doing.
- Research task: Create an A4 fact sheet about your favorite drama practitioner. This could be a famous actor, a theatre performer, a director or a theatre designer. You should include key facts:
- Name
- Age
- What is their job title?
- What are they known best for?
- What have they won awards for if any?
- You could include pictures to support your work.
Year 9

Complete a research page on your Component 2 scripted plays
Use dual coding to summarise the plot of the Component 2 text you are performing
Design a set/costume for your Component 2 extract/character
Year 10

- Maintain the workshop write up on the practitioners we are exploring - what was the stimulus, your ideas, the methods and intention of the practitioners, what you did, how and why and evaluate the effectiveness of the work you produced
